Urbuusan and his son Degjiin practice Mongolian wrestling on the pasture in West Ujimqin Banner of Xilingol League, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, June 12, 2025. The 37-year-old herdsman Urbuusan and his 12-year-old son Degjiin live in West Ujimqin Banner of Xilingol League, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. They are both Mongolian wrestlers. Urbuusan has been practicing Mongolian wrestling for 20 years. Influenced by his father, Degjiin began to practise Mongolian wrestling at the age of 6 and won various awards. Nowadays, Degjiin studies in the third primary school of West Ujimqin Banner and he often competes in Mongolian wrestling matches of his age.
"As long as my dad is at home, I can't wait practicing Mongolian wrestling with him." Degjiin says.
"Degjiin wants to become a famous Mongolian wrestler. I'll keep wrestling with him, as long as he's happy." Urbuusan says. (Xinhua/Lian Zhen)
