The 2025 Belt and Road Ambassador Spring Reception is held in Beijing on Jan. 20.
On January 20, the 2025 Belt and Road Ambassador Spring Reception was held in Beijing. The event was jointly hosted by the Embassy of the Burkina Faso in China and the Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ambassadors from over 40 countries, along with the representatives from China’s top 500 enterprises, medium and large-sized companies, various trade associations, local offices in Beijing, and experts and scholars, gathered to discuss cultural exchange and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

In his speech, Burkina Faso’s Ambassador to China Daouda Bitie said that the Belt and Road Initiative provides landlocked countries such as Burkina Faso with opportunities for openness and development, promoting greater connectivity and the exchange of goods, capital, technology, and people among countries.

During the business representatives’ speech session, Xu Jiqing, chairman of China Minmetals Corporation; Liu Jun, assistant president of SINOMA International Engineering Co., Ltd., and Yan Yufeng, vice general manager of Shanxi Zilin Vinegar Industry Co., Ltd., each delivered a speech. They shared how their enterprises have actively participated in the Belt and Road Initiative, driving economic development and improving livelihoods in the countries involved through investment and project cooperation. They also expressed anticipation for future collaboration opportunities under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The reception also featured a variety of cultural performances, with actors presenting programs rich in the cultural characteristics of the Belt and Road countries, showcasing the charm of diverse cultures.
