BEIJING, April 7 (Xinhua) -- On Wednesday, a chartered plane loaded with 3,094 kilograms of cargo departed from Yangon, Myanmar for Dehong in southwest China's Yunnan Province, marking the launch of a new all-cargo air route connecting the two cities.

On the same day, the plane carrying 15,390 kilograms of cargo made a return trip, marking a successful maiden flight of the air route.

The round-trip flights will run twice a week to transport export goods including clothing, fabrics and accessories as well as import goods such as fabrics, shoe uppers and cable assemblies.

Dehong borders Myanmar and serves as the gateway hub to facilitate cross-border trade between China and Myanmar.
