Xi calls for advancements in healthcare and education

As Monday marks International Women's Day, Xi extended his congratulations and best wishes to the female deputies of the National People's Congress and the female political advisers participating in the ongoing two sessions, as well as all Chinese women at home and abroad.

He praised women's positive role in completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, achieving poverty alleviation and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, saying they have supported "half the sky". Xi urged them to continue to make greater contributions on the new journey toward building China into a modern socialist country and realizing national rejuvenation.
