China's Jiangxi sees foreign trade surge in first three quarters

NANCHANG, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province saw its foreign trade volume up 21.3 percent year on year in the first three quarters to 304.82 billion yuan (about 45.5 billion U.S. dollars), local customs data showed.

In the period, the province's exports stood at 222.18 billion yuan, up 23.5 percent year on year, while imports rose 16 percent to 82.64 billion yuan, according to Nanchang customs.

The foreign trade of Jiangxi's private enterprises grew 33.8 percent to 228.63 billion yuan, accounting for three-fourths of the province's total.

Jiangxi saw positive growth in trade with all its top-10 trading partners during the period. Imports and exports between Jiangxi and countries along the Belt and Road hit 89.71 billion yuan, up 21.2 percent. Enditem
