China's foreign trade reaches 31.55 trln yuan in 2019

According to the Statistical Communiqué of the People's Republic of China on the 2019 National Economic and Social Development issued by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the total value of the nation's foreign trade reached 31.55 trillion yuan (US$4.45 trillion) last year, which was an increase of 3.4 percent year on year. Total export value came to17.23 trillion yuan (US$2.43 trillion), and total import value amounted to14.32 trillion yuan (US$2.02 trillion). Surpassing 30 trillion yuan for two consecutive years, China's foreign trade is currently the most valuable in the world and is expected to retain that position.
