Yongdeng Lion dance, a local style of lion dance known for its distinctive and complicated move, was listed as the intangible cultural heritage of Gansu Province in 2011. The lion costume, supported by wood strips inside, is approximately 2.8 meters long and 1.8 meters high, which makes the dance a demanding job for performers. (Xinhua/Ma Ning)
