CHENGDU, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The trade volume between southwest China's Sichuan Province and Italy rose 23.4 percent year on year in the first half of 2019, according to the provincial bureau of economic cooperation.

The trade volume reached 328 million U.S. dollars, said Yi Yang, deputy head of the bureau, adding the province has attracted the investment of 48 Italian companies.

"The agricultural equipment produced by our company has exported to more than 60 countries, and Sichuan's foundations of mechanical engineering and agriculture can help us enter the Chinese market," said Ivan Bianchi, export sales manager of BERTI Macchine Agricole SPA.

"Italy has world-class industries in fashion, designing, wine and other fields, which also accommodate the needs of Chinese customers and provide a room for the cooperation between the companies from the two countries," said Shen Tao, president of a culture company based in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan.
