KUWAIT CITY, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait will launch the seventh Arab children's theater festival on Tuesday at Al-Dasma Theater in Kuwait City, the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) said on Sunday.

The event will last until July 12, Bader Al-Duweesh, NCCAL's assistant secretary general, said in a statement.

It will feature four plays, said Al-Duweesh, adding that theater workshops and other related events will be held during the course of the event.

NCCAL's theater affairs department's head Ahmad Al-Tattan revealed that the festival also includes an exhibition showing the history of the festival since the first event held in Tunisia.

The festival aims to spread awareness on the importance of children theater in spreading notions of culture and heritage, he added.
