Egyptian shop assistant makes papyrus in Giza

A shop assistant peels the stem of a papyrus plant during a demonstration of making papyrus at a souvenir shop in Giza, Egypt, on Oct. 20, 2018. Made from papyrus plant stems, the papyrus was used for writing and drawing on by ancient Egyptians thousands years ago.
