China to foster 10 cross-industry industrial Internet platforms by 2020, MIIT

BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) -- China will cultivate about ten cross-industry and inter-industry industrial Internet platforms and a number of enterprise-level industrial Internet platforms for specific industries and specific regions by 2020, according to the guidelines about construction and promotion of the industrial Internet platforms released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Thursday.

China will formulate standards for industrial Internet platforms and bring them in line with the international standards, said the MIIT.

Meanwhile, it will strengthen management of the industrial Internet platforms, promote interconnection of data and services of the platforms, conduct platform operation analysis and dynamic monitoring, and improve the platform security guarantee system.
