China to continue good momentum in foreign trade this year, MOC

BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- With the deepening of the supply-side structural reform, the good momentum of China's foreign trade will be consolidated this year, predicted by spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on Thursday.

Since the beginning of this year, China's foreign trade has continued to improve amid the stability, with the further optimization in structure and improvement in the trade quality, said the spokesperson.

He said that in the second half of the year, in terms of exports, the MOC will continuously focus on high-quality development and work harder to solve quality problems and promote transformation and upgrading.

In the second half of the year, the ministry will promote the upgrading of China's export industries and products; accelerate sound development of new businesses such as cross-border e-commerce and market procurement, help enterprises tap the traditional export market and at the same time explore emerging markets, and further improve the level of trade facilitation, said the spokesperson.
